My Gut Feel and comments:
Abhishek Chaubey nurtured under supervision of vishal bhadwaj
and his films are also reflection of vishal’s school of cinema which is in a
way dark and semi commercial in presentation. I liked Abhishek’s directorial
debut film ishqiya and found first half quite interesting however film lost the
grip towards the end which deprived it off being a cult entertainer. This time I am hoping that Abhishek has done
the justice and came up with a tight gripped story and screenplay as he has
been blessed with ace performers like Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah and
Madhuri Dixit.
Budget of this movie is moderate like any other movie of
Vishal’s production house which increases the chances of recovering the money
at box office. Vishal’s movies never
claimed to be masala entertainers with huge crowd pulling star cast which lead
to its appeal to niche limited audience. Same seems to be case with Dedh
Ishqiya. I am expecting it to be a film
with fast pacey first half and better overing then its prequel. Bring on
optimistic side, I am giving this movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars, four days before
the release.
