My Gut Feel and comments:

Nishikant Kamat directed John starred Force, a movie with a fast-paced screenplay and awesome action sequences. Same seems to be the case with Rocky Handsome.
This movie is adapted from successful Korean film The Man from Nowhere. I read the story of The Man from Nowhere and it's quite engaging. It seems to be the case that Nishikant done a decent job in adapting the plot to the sensibility of the Indian audience.
Look and feel this movie reminds me Ek Ajnabee of Amitabh Bachchan and Zinda of John.
I checked few interviews of Nishikant Kamat and found him a strong headed creative person who is confident and talented. He has done decent work in both Hindi and Marathi cinema. His last offering Drishyam done well last year. Infect he is playing a villain in  Rocky Handsome and I am sure would be appreciated as he did act before well in films and theater.

Sunir Khetrapal is a first time producer who enthusiastically co-produced this movie with John Abraham. Apart from engaging screenplay, action sequences would stand out in this movie.
Film’s budget is just over 60 crore and like drishyam chances are that this movie picks up at the box office by word of mouth publicity. However as it’s not a typical mega star family entertainer so it would have limited targeted youth audience.
Kapoor & sons released last week and as it is indeed a good movie so surely will give tough competition to Rocky Handsome. Although as it’s an extended weekend because of Holi and good Friday so chances are that Nishikant’s and John’s fan do go to theaters in decent numbers.
Going by my gut feeling I am giving Rocky Handsome 3 stars out of 5, two days before the release.
